PayPal refunded my AliExpress purchase…
PayPal refunded my AliExpress purchase which did not arrive. 12 weeks of waiting for my mobile phone purchase to arrive (AliExpress will not allow a case to be logged before then) - a lot of stress and worry. AliExpress was then uncontactable (as they had been throughout). They present with all the, 'We are there to help you' stuff, but in fact its absolutely impossible to get to talk to anyone and impossible to get a solution because they send you round and round in loops on their website. Their third party seller on their platform, YTDC Store was unhelpful, took no ownership and did not act to solve the 'lost' in transit' issue. When I reported the issue to PayPal, they required AliExpress to show delivery proof. They were unable to do that, so PayPal refunded me the money. Without PayPay I would have been £300 the poorer. I am very grateful. There is little or zero protection in dealing with eCommerce giants, three cheers for PayPal because it delivered - where AliExpress did not - and made no effort at all to resolve my issue.
