Mostly good with a few annoyances
Moneygram is quick to send money overseas. Very, very quick - usually within one or two minutes. The transfer fee is less than most of the other remitters and the exchange rate is always in the top three of remitters. So, they are the good bits. Now to the annoyances. Trying to use my default browser Firefox causes problems right from the start, not allowing me to log in and threatening to block my account after three unsuccessful attempts. I now use a different browser for Moneygram but it shouldn't have to be this way. Web standards anyone? The amount sent adjusted itself without my input. I chose to send PHP 15,000 and after I pressed the button to commit the send, I saw that the amount being sent was 14,999.90. Now my relatives have to find a 10c coin to give just to round it up. Not a big deal but annoying nevertheless. Pickup locations should be made clear rather than instructing the recipient to check the website. If I am sending money to the Philippines, it would be nice to include the names of available pickup companies in the confirmation email I am sent so I can pass this information on to the recipient. Overall, good but easily could be better.
